The story

About this piece

You already know how to take notes. You've been doing it your whole life. The problem was never the writing — it was everything that happened to the writing afterwards. The notebook that got left on a desk. The page you couldn't find. The meeting you attended and left with six pages of notes and no memory of what you were supposed to do next. SoboPad Scribe is the notebook that remembers so you don't have to. Write in it the way you've always written. The AI pen tracks every stroke on the dot-grid pages and sends them to the app as clean digital text — searchable, organised, timestamped. Your handwriting stays your handwriting. The machine just makes sure it never gets lost. Tap the pen twice before a meeting. The microphone opens. The conversation is recorded, transcribed, and summarised — action items separated from discussion, decisions highlighted, names noted. When the meeting ends, your minutes of meeting are already written. You didn't have to do anything differently. This is not a replacement for thinking. It is a replacement for the part after thinking — the transcription, the organisation, the follow-up — that nobody actually enjoys and everybody does badly under time pressure. Scribe is for the person who thinks better on paper but lives in a world that demands digital. It is the bridge between those two things, designed to feel like neither.
