About this piece

Most desk mats just sit there. They protect the surface and look nice in photos. That's it. That's all they've ever done. SoboPad Base does two more things — and both of them change the daily ritual of sitting down to work in ways that are small, specific, and impossible to un-notice once you've had them. The first is the Think Strip. A whiteboard-grade dry-erase band runs the full width of the top 100mm. You write your three priorities for the day. They sit under your hands, not buried in an app three swipes deep. At 6pm you wipe them. The ritual of the wipe is the ritual of finishing. No other Indian desk mat has this. The second is the Dock. A neodymium magnet array sits recessed under the surface in one fixed position — completely invisible, no bump, no outline. Your MagSafe phone approaches and gets pulled the last centimetre into place. It self-aligns. It faces you. It sits in exactly the same spot every single time.
